Our Information About You
When you place an order with Viking Adventure AS, your personal information is stored in our booking system, which is now operated by Statamic, located in the US.
The following information about you is stored and used:
Full name
Email
Phone number
Date of birth/age (in some cases)
Card information
Self-declaration form (in some cases)
This information is essential for us to provide you with the best possible service. For example, we need your name and contact information to locate your booking and ensure your safety. We also use your contact details to communicate important information before your trip, such as booking confirmations, trip details, or updates, and to follow up after your trip if necessary.
We are required by law to collect certain data, such as passenger lists and information for infection control. In some cases, the full name and date of birth/age are necessary to comply with safety regulations (e.g., Regulation on the counting and registration of persons on board passenger ships, §6 Registration). We may also use your date of birth/age for specific price adjustments (e.g., senior or child discounts).
We do not use your personal information for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
Providing Personal Information
You provide personal information when you book a tour, contact us by phone, or visit one of our outlets.
Storage of Personal Information
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above. Generally, this is for 1 year from your last trip. If you have subscribed to newsletters or offers, we will store your information until you opt-out. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in the newsletter or by contacting us at post@govikingadventure.com.
In some cases, we are legally required to store certain data for a longer period (e.g., for accounting purposes or handling complaints).
Data Transfer Outside the EU/EØS
Our booking system, Bilberry , is located in Norway, which means that your personal information will not be transferred outside the EU/EØS.
Who May Process Your Personal Information?
Your personal information is processed by our employees and system partners (currently Bilberry and NETS) as well as our administrative service partners (Tveit Regnskap and Webium AS). In some cases, we may also share your information with relevant third parties, such as bus companies, hotels, restaurants, or local partners, but only when necessary for the execution of your booking. Data shared with partners is only accessible for up to three weeks after your trip.
We have signed data processing agreements with these partners to ensure that they comply with GDPR and protect your information.
Your Rights
You have the right to request access to your personal information, correction of any inaccuracies, and the deletion of your data. You may also withdraw consent at any time. If you have booked a trip that has not yet been completed or if there is an ongoing complaint, your personal information will be deleted within one month after completion of the process.

We apply access controls to all our systems to ensure that only authorized personnel can access your data. These measures are designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
Changes to This Policy
