Experience nordic beauty!

Experience Nordic beauty! Explore Haugesund’s stunning landscapes on a small-group tour combining iconic landmarks, scenic viewpoints, and a short hike to Kringsjå mountain farm – complete with local stories and a tasty treat.

Join the locals! Discover the perfect mix of nature and culture as you travel through Haugesund and into the surrounding mountains. This authentic experience takes you to Kringsjå farm – a hidden gem with breathtaking panoramic views. The name “Kringsjå” means “see all around” – and once you arrive, you’ll understand why.

Your journey begins with a scenic 20-minute minibus ride to Steinsfjellet, one of the best viewpoints overlooking the city. From here, a gentle 15–20 minute hike leads you to a traditional Norwegian mountain farm. Along the way, your guide shares local stories about life in the region – including fascinating insights from World War II.

At the farm, you may witness the farmer’s call, where wild sheep roam freely and gather when called – a charming and memorable moment for visitors of all ages. Take a break, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and enjoy a warm drink with a slice of homemade apple cake while soaking in the views.

Kringsjå farm is run by a local foundation, and every visit helps preserve this unique cultural site for future generations.

On the way back, we stop at the historic Harald Hårfagre monument and the captivating Rising Tide horse sculptures – two of Haugesund’s most iconic landmarks.

Join us for a memorable journey combining nature, history, and local flavors – all in one unforgettable experience.

«An unmissable trip for an unusual experience Fantastic tour, well organised, informative and easily executed from our cruise ship. Our guide was friendly and full of interesting facts and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting Kringsjå Farm and the Rising Tide sculptures. Kevin, the Kringsjå Farm manager, was so warm, welcoming and passionate about the place that has clearly stolen his heart. We wish him all the best in his future plans and are looking forward to returning in the future to see how Kringsjå has grown!»

«One of our favourite memories from Norway! Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Jason and the team for an amazing visit to the farm, the delicious apple pie and lovely tour of the cabin and surrounding areas. From the get-go, we felt so welcomed by the team-- even if our group was very slow on the hike! Jason was so patient, kind and friendly- without him, I don't think our parents could have finished the hike. Thank you again for an amazing experience in Haugesund. We highly recommend this trip for anyone who wants to enjoy Haugesund on a more local level!»

«Beautiful scenery with lots of Norwegian heart We visited Kringsjå seter today as part of a Viator trip from the MSC cruise ship, and it was a truly unforgettable experience that captured the very heart of Norway. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality from Tom and his small team was filled with warmth and sincerity. Tom shared tales, old and new, his pride and passion shining through with every story. We enjoyed a delicious slice of homemade apple cake while soaking in the far reaching views of the stunning Norwegian landscape. Then, walking alongside him and his wonderful border collie, we fed the sheep and listened to captivating tales of ancient Norse history and what it means to be Norwegian. This visit blended breathtaking scenery, rich storytelling, and genuine warmth in a way that felt authentic and personal. It was far more than just a stop on a tour, it was an experience to treasure. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience a true taste of Norwegian culture and hospitality.»

«Fabulous memories Perfect tour Tom and his team made it so special for my toddler. The cake was amazing and I cuddled a lamb. I would not advise for anyone who struggles with walking, or prams it’s quite a challenging walk to the farm. Saying that if I’d known that I would have missed out on this fabulous experience. It really made our holiday special.»
