Guided EL-Bike tour

To the sculptures “The Rising Tides” by Jason D. Taylor and the "Harald Fairhair" National Monument.

Join the locals! Elevate your Haugesund experience by joining us on an electric-bike adventure led by our knowledgeable guide.

As you embark on your journey, you'll be equipped with a electric bike and helmet. Our experienced guide will ensure your comfort and security with a comprehensive presentation of safety routines, allowing you to explore the city and its northern region with peace of mind.

Your ride commences in the heart of Haugesund, pedaling through the vibrant Haraldsgata, the city's main shopping street. We'll pause at the iconic Fishermen statue, offering you a perfect opportunity to capture memorable photos. While you snap away, our guide will regale you with intriguing tales about the city's fishing culture and the profound impact of herring on its development.

The next stop brings us to the statue of Harald Fairhair, delving into the area's rich Viking history. Gaze out over the very straits that once served as the vital highway of the seas in times of old, adding a layer of historical depth to your adventure.

Continuing north, you'll pedal through a charming residential neighborhood, gaining an authentic sense of local life and the homes of the people who call Haugesund home. Our journey leads us to the National Monument, Haraldsstøtta, an impressive ode to King Harald Fairhair, the Viking ruler who united Norway into one kingdom over a millennium ago. Legend has it that Harald Fairhair rests in this area. Take your time to absorb the monument's grandeur and explore Korsshaugen, a thousand-year-old stone cross.

Our route then follows the road along the North Sea, where you'll encounter the stunning horse sculptures emerging from the water. Crafted by the renowned artist Jason deCaires Taylor, these sculptures, known as "The Rising Tides," were relocated from London to Haugesund in 2019 and placed near Haraldsstøtta.

As we make our way back, we'll pedal along the North Sea coastline, offering breathtaking views of the local islands in the distance. Once more, our guide will navigate through the residential area and town, leading you safely back to your starting point.

Join us on this remarkable journey, where history, art, and natural beauty blend seamlessly. Capture the essence of Haugesund, one pedal stroke at a time, and leave with memories that will linger long after your adventure concludes.

«A lovely way to see and know Haugesund Lovely way to see a bit of Haugesund and find out more about it. The beauty of this trip is that you can see so much more than if you walked round, with frequent stops for information or stories from our fab guide Eggle. I would highly recommend, especially if like us, you are only there for a day.»

«E bike tour This is a brilliant tour. The e-bikes are easy to ride even if you haven’t ridden one before (as we hadn’t). Anders our tour guide was informative and gave us just the right amount of time at 2 major attractions to look and take photos. He also included an extra request to see the Marilyn Monroe statue. Despite the rain, this tour was fantastic. I would highly recommend this tour if you have teenagers, my 16 & 17 year olds loved it as did I (53 yrs). It’s an easy way to visit the rising tides statues.»
