Hardanger Cider Tasting and Local History

Join a guided introduction to cider production traditions from the Hardanger region of Norway.

The experience includes a presentation of the history of fruit farming and cider production in Hardanger, where apple growing has been an important part of local culture for generations. Guests will also receive information about production methods, local farms, and the development of modern Norwegian cider production.

During the session, four different ciders from the region will be presented and tasted. The tasting is guided by a host who explains the characteristics and background of each product.

  • Guided tasting of 4 different ciders

  • Information about local production methods and regional culture

Important:  Participants must be of legal drinking age according to Norwegian law, 18 years. Alcohol is served responsibly as part of a cultural and educational experience.

Meeting point:  Meet 10 minutes before at our Visitor Center, just a few minutes’ walk from the ship.

Cancellation: For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the experience. Contact the Supplier for a full refund if the customer arrives on a cruise ship and, for any reason, the ship does not arrive at the port, or if the arrival/departure time changes significantly and disrupts the tour. This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it's canceled because the minimum isn't met, you will be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.
